About the artist.

Nailah S. Artistry creates unique artwork popular for it's stylized and textural portraiture of Black life, depicted through images of spiritual awareness, female empowerment, and heritage connection.

Chicago artist, Nailah S. has been creating visual art for more than 30 years and often finds creative inspiration from an array of musical styles, as well as multiple facets of Pop and Hip-Hop culture, and various forms of traditional African artworks. She credits her mother for exposing her to various cultures and musical genres, and also recognizing her artistic abilities at an early age and allowing her to cultivate her talent.  It is through her artwork that she shows her appreciation for these inspirations.
